AHA ACLS -
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
This course is offered through the American Heart Association (AHA).
This course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This course is also for personnel in emergency response.
Topics Covered:
• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
• Airway management
• Related pharmacology
• Management of ACS and stroke
• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
This course is a blended course which involves online sessions via an AHA HeartCode and also a hands-on/skills test portion with one of our instructors.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for two-years. The certificate will be provided the same day that the in-person skills session is completed.
