HSI CPR/AED
This course is through the Health and Safety Institute (HSI), which is a nationally accredited organization and follows all of the American Heart Association guidelines.
This course is for those with limited or no medical training who need a certification in CPR and AED use. This class teaches rescuers how to respond to cardiac arrest and choking emergencies prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.
The course is not for healthcare providers. Healthcare providers need the BLS Course.
During this course, participants will learn how to recognize sudden cardiac arrest and how to react in a cardiac arrest emergency, the essential skills of performing proper Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and how to properly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will also learn how to help someone in a choking emergency.
This course is 2-hours long and the completion certificate is valid for two-years.
Adult, Child, and infant training is available.
This course is available as an all in-person class or a hybrid class (part online, part in-person skills session).
